Forensic Medicine is the branch of medical science where knowledge of medical and paramedical sciences are applied for the administration of justice. It also denotes the legal aspect of medical practices. So every medical man should learn the basics of legal system and should have the awareness regarding various medico-legal issues that can be surfaced during clinical practice. This branch also teaches the ethics, etiquettes of medical practice. It has been observed in recent times that medico-legal cases including those medical negligence is increasing day by day. Henceforth this department, in NEIAH left no stone unturned in their effort to teach the basics of the subject to the students of Homoeopathy College, so that they can efficiently handle these sorts of cases in their future professional life. Apart from academic activities this department is actively working on other activities that the institute bestows upon it on time to time.
